Teoría impopular I

(FRAGMENTO)

Lo empiezas a saber,
tu amor va enseñando sus sales de baño, sus fiestas de guardar, sus cenas sin nadie;
.
Extrañamente hermosa eres ahora tu propio fantasma,
lo que significa que tú seas él;
Ven a mirar mis osos polares.

"Dios te bendiga", me dice. Y yo gracias.

The real nightmare

When a co-worker starts chanting your name in a kinder garten melody way loud enough for every body in the newspaper writing area to hear, and all you can say is "I have a cup of coffee. Err Hot coffee, and I know how to use it", while keep staring at your computer all embarrased and wanting to have an AK to haunt him down, you know things are wrong.

On a brighter note, I had no nightmares today. Well, you know what I mean, not while asleep. :*)

Ingmar Bergman II & III

This weeks I have had my second and third encounter with Bergman movies. First, Fanny & Alexander. Second, Fresas Salvajes. I must say, F&A took my four days to watch. Fresas Salvajes two. I loved both of them, but again, a warning, they are not for everyone. Definitivamente, me gusta el estilo de Bergman. Pero sobre todo me gustan sus temas. No lo sé... Me transportan.

Well, looking forward to the next one...

i am 8 bit

"i am 8-bit gathers the talents of over 100 of the world's top artists, to put their memories to paper, canvas, wood, or somewhere in between, recalling those oh-so-fond gaming moments from the era when pixels reigned king. There are absolutely no 3D-inspired works in the show; just pre-1995 influences, a decadent time when games were flat and flourishing with creativity. Anything goes-from the crazed image of a Burger Time sausage gone ballistic to Space Invaders doing disco- hindered only by the artists' imagination."

Retro geek chic art. There is a gallery there, but I found a lot more pics here.

Follow me to nightmare Land

It starts by looking at the clock. Then by thinking about you. You, the clock, you. The clock. Your smile. Your smile is a ghost. My life is a series of pixels and ASCII characters with a hint of sun and blue sky. I love a park in the night, and to see the moon through trees without leaves. Thru death. The moon thru death. I like midnight. The silence slightly broken once in a while. The awareness. I see the moon pass by my window. Your mind. Your mind is a cumule of stars I get to see thru the telescope of mine. So far away I´m ever sure if what I see is what it is or only the eco of millions of years. My heart. Alive and I´m always suprised by it. I´m a river constantly flowing to the ever changing you but never reaching you. Cliché. I am a kiss asleep. I´m a blury scream. My bed is to big and too white. It looks too much like a jail. I´m burning in desire. I cannot have you. I love you. This is insane. Over the pillow, above the pillow, between the pillow. Breathe. See the clock. Destroy the clock. Drink the night. Drink your memory. Swallow it. Oh my head. ..... the house is falling apart, this rain will never stop, it is all ruins now... No! He can´t be dead! He can´t! I then wake up, with an unbelievable pain, and this alien (my heart) beating like a tribal drum warning danger.

I´m alone. It is morning. I have tears. And I hate nightmares.

Microsoft Acquires Nothing

Fake News written by James Baughn on September 9, 1998
from the pigs-are-flying dept.

REDMOND, WA -- In an unprecedented move, Microsoft refrained from acquiring any rival companies for a full week. "I can't believe it," one industry analyst noted. "This is the first time in years that I haven't read any headlines about Microsoft acquiring something."

The lack of Microsoft assimilation this week left a vacuum in computer industry publications. "Microsoft acquisition stories make up 10% of our headlines," an editor at Ziff-Slavis said. "We had to scramble to fill this void. We ran some controversial Jessie Burst columns instead, hoping that we could recoup ad revenue from people reading all the flames in the Talk Back forums. Jessie Burst forums account for 15% of our total ad revenue."

InfoPlanet also faced a small crisis in filling its headlines. "We were so desperate for news that we ran a story about Mark McGwire. Since the groundskeeper who caught home run 62 uses Linux at home, we were able to justify this as computer news. Sort of. Okay, maybe not."

Industry pundits are at a loss to explain the cease in Microsoft acquisitions. "They can't innovate products by themselves. They have to acquire ideas from other companies. If Microsoft doesn't start assimilating some more companies soon, they could be in big trouble," Bob Y. Cringely said. Another pundit observed, "Bill must be on vacation or something. This can't be right. Maybe Microsoft is worried about the upcoming anti-trust court case? I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't acquired a couple of Seattle law firms yet."

Ex Boyfriends List

From: Richard Stallman
To: mkhenley@prodigy.net
Subject: Application for membership in Ex Boyfriends List

After reading what you've said about your Ex Boyfriends List,
I wonder if you could tell me how to apply for a place in it?

My motivation is not that I would like the cachet of being on the
list. Rather I hope that the application process, of being judged for
a place on the list, could be exciting or even joyous. If it takes you
some time to decide whether I belong on the list, I won't mind
waiting.

I'm aware of the theoretical possibility that the process might not
reach a conclusion, that I might remain permanently in limbo pending a
decision about whether I am to become "ex". I know this is unlikely,
and I'm willing to take the risk.

Sueños

1

Nadie venía a jugar.
Me levanté y fui hacia él.

The last tear was dry, and I`d keep swinging. Back and forth.

2

Or... Maybe I should just shoot me in the head, a common feeling after reading a post like the last one.

Oh my meaningless existance. I slept mostly o.k. I cooked breakfast. I randomly took a book and started reading. It was Simone de Beauvoir. It was "La invitada". Keep at it for a while. I usually keep at it until I found an exquisite pharagraph. But I didnt found it.

Then, work, the classic saturday stress... It is 21:33 and still waiting. I should go. But to what?

I was 15 and my aunt told me once, you have a question mark in your forehead. I´m 29 now, and I hope I´m not supposed to know now, because the question mark is bigger then ever.

Something beautiful

Have you seen the sky today? It is so beautiful that it almost hurts.

I hope you had. And I also hope you are being loved this day.

I wonder what happens with the love that is not delivered, since I decided to stop fighting against what I feel and let my heart love you, even though it is the more scariest thing I have ever done, even though I will be not loved back.

It is funny, what I feel.

I have cried less. Altought I have sudden explotions. But I am more calm, more seren. Well, only a little more, to be honest. Most of the time I need to run to whatever you are. Most of the time I feel this endless love is going to kill me.

But what will happen with it, with the undelivered love? What is it, anyway? An illusion? There is a sentence... "What have you done for me to love you?" that is spinning in my head all the time, and seems like needles in my heart, or a hammer always hitting, stabbing something deeper and deeper into my soul.

There is another: "Love is selfish". I dont know. I just dont know. I wish I knew what to do. All I know is I love you, and I will not fight it. Maybe it fades with time, maybe it dies like a flower, a flower whom bigger stupidity was to be born in the wrong time, in the wrong place. Oh but flowers die all the time, dont they? Maybe all these undelivered love will transform me in a tree.

Trees last. Trees are strong.

How do I not tell you I've never seen poetry in anyone's eyes but yours?

How do I stop me?

How do I...

How?

Symantec Antivirus May Execute Virus Code. Oookkk.

Started reading "Donde el corazón te lleve" today, by Susanna Tamaro. Heh. I saw the movie long ago, because it was directed by the same girl who did "Las memorias de Antonia".

I just wanted a light reading I guess. Bueh I am a woman after all... Actually the book is not that bad. It has his moments. Pag 59 so far. I predict I´ll finish it by midnight. Friday midnight, tops.

Jeez, why do I feel I have to justify about reading it? >:*)

MS. MORNIN: That's good, because I work three jobs and I feel like I contribute.

THE PRESIDENT: You work three jobs?

MS. MORNIN: Three jobs, yes.

THE PRESIDENT: Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that. (Applause.) Get any sleep? (Laughter.)
