Pero sí, te extraño (i´m on my way)

Quiero verte. No estás.

Yay for the dogos!

Check out this article...

Extract...

"The Devil took the steaming food with both hands and thanked the cook. Then he added everything that was available there: guacamole, ketchup, red salsa, grilled onions, yellow cheese, mushrooms, chorizo (pork sausage) and green salsa. He also grabbed a roasted yellow chili and asked for a Coke.

"That was the apotheosis of every hotdog he had ever known and tasted since the beginning of all time: big, but not huge like the record-breaking ones; cheap, in a society compelled to raise the price of its staples in order to fake a chimerical status; with a quantity of dressings that overfilled the capacity of the bread and represented a challenge for the stomach itself. It was a monument to mundane indulgence; an example of the zealous desire of men to try all the things within reach without considering the consequences; an icon for the self-destruction of the body; a 'fuck you' to cholesterol, obesity, gastritis, diarrhea and the countless stomach infections and gastronomic poisonings that ever existed; a shameless outrage against the sin of gluttony, like a whore that loves her job, indifferent to any divine reproach."

Y bueno.

Bueno... Por algo se empieza...

are you pondering what i´m pondering?

Guess What! Sometime next year you´ll be able to make PC-to-phone calls from Windows Live Messenger. Thanks to a deal by MCI and Microsoft Corp! Just like I told you in the last post and it´s still all around the Web like big news today! Yay!

Cinéfilos

Off to the movies we go! This one was taken last friday. We were going to watch Narnia Chronicles. What? It´s cute!

Martes 13!

...

Oh no.

Ah... Sí. HP y sus conferencias virtuales. O..k.... So new it hurts. Gee. A bad day indeed.

Sh*t. Oh well, you know. Smart planning.

BTW, tomorrow´s my first kung fu class. :*)

Monday Dispatch*

Staellium Inc. I think.

Well. Suuuure. Big news... I´m all done with this. I´m getting the PS3 while my two cousins are getting the Revolution and the Xbox 360 each, so we have everything covered ;)

And from the department of what the heck? comes the full lenght movie availability from Nextel Whoa. Who would want to buy and watch a movie in that tiny sh*tty screen? not me.

Sure. Whatever.

atención mugeres

No se pierdan estas consideraciones políticas. Están para morirse de la risa.

Extracto:

I agree with most, even thought it is only the view of the tech editor of the guardian, and readers alike.

Currently reading The Diamond Age. Oh baby, it´s a nanoworld.

It is funny to comment onto things from a nanoworld perspective and watch people not only not getting it but answering something odd. And looking weird to me. But that´s normal. Just like when I spoke in anscient spanish after finishing a great chapter of The Quixote.

+change+

I don’t feel the suns comin’ out today
Its staying in, it’s gonna find another way.
As I sit here in this misery, I don’t
Think I’ll ever see the sun from here.
And oh as I fade away,
They’ll all look at me and say, and they’ll say,
Hey look at him! I’ll never live that way.
But that’s okay
They’re just afraid to change.
When you feel your life ain’t worth living
You’ve got to stand up and
Take a look around you then a look way up to the sky.
And when your deepest thoughts are broken,
Keep on dreaming boy, cause when you stop dreamin’ it’s time to die.
And as we all play parts of tomorrow,
Some ways will work and other ways we’ll play.
But I know we all can’t stay here forever,
So I want to write my words on the face of today.
And then they’ll paint it
And oh as I fade away,
They’ll all look at me and they’ll say,
Hey look at him and where he is these days.
When life is hard, you have to change.

(...)just like a little girl... (Dylan lullaby)

Now we´re talking! Let´s see...

Cambio. Otra vez el canal 12. ¿O era Telemax? Noticiero entre todos. Estoy como hipnotizada, no, deveras, me siento como zombie. Propaganda, publicidad, lectura de e-mails POR CORTESIA DE BLAH BLAH repaso de portales POR CORTESIA DE X. (Pasan primero REFORMA. Pasan EHUI, FD! EL IMPARCIAL no lo pasan. )

...

Out of my system and Into the blog. Oh yes.

Fucking vogons. I say.

Time for the Lonely

I think it is quite interesting that I find very difficult to write here just after I finished writing a letter to my father. I deposited all my emotions and feelings on that letter, and now I came to you empty. But, let´s summarize. These are strange days for me, but I´m floating with little effort even trough some difficulties. One thing is certain and it is that I´m a bit depressed. May be the lack of sleep due to high midnight cough activitiy. I´m taking medication, but it is working slowly I guess. So I manage those late at night hours drinking hot herbal tea or honey with lemon, besides the pills of course. I have to remain seated, can´t lay down. So. Anyway. I have only finished one book, Ana Karennina. And I must say I liked it. I am not going to say why because that I already told to my father in my letter. speaking of wich, writing by hand is pretty exhausting. My hands are just not used to it. God bless the keyboard. My life has been, like I said, pretty dull. Stay awake until real late. Stay asleep until real late too. Then work. Also late. Repeat. In the meantime, read things like one article on the newspaper EL PAIS that talked about neonatology. I wonder why it caught my attention, since it is not very often that I find an article from this or any other newspaper less than absolutely boring to death. Well this article was about the research on what is the brain of the babies capable of perceive, even before they are given birth. Among other interesting things (i think we all know it) it said that yes, indeed, a non-wanted child is more likely to be a problematic person when adult, while a wanted one is more likely to be "normal". You just guessed! I was unwanted! Oh this remind me a joke I read in the book "Andamios", by Mario Benedetti. It goes more or less like this: This is the indian chief´s son asking his father why his sister is called "star of the morning", so the chief answers that it is because she was conceived during an early morning under that star. The son asked then, why, his older brother is called "wild horse", and the chief told him he was coincived, well, while riding a wild horse, hence the name. "Oh I see, and...". But the son couldnt finish his interrogatory, as his father, shut him up impatiently: "Cut it off, broken condom, I have things to do...".... Whoops. I suck telling jokes :*) So does Benedetti. Well I think now I´m ready to sleep. It´s 3:00 already... But before I go I want to say two things. One, I wrote another handwritten letter, this one for the man I love. And two, I´m a goddam ambulant contradiction, but you all knew that didnt you? No, wait. Delete that.

<--And two, no, I don´t really have a point.

needles and midnights and the BBC (oh and the visa)

needles
Rojos. Ringu II.
the BBC
Anyway. Les digo que yo no comí. Habría vomitado.
(oh and the visa)

foolish you are

I read PhD comics since years ago, when one nice friend who also introduced me to Witggenstein (damn him) was always pointing out to them, but somehow the strips went out of my radar, until today that I stumbled upon this one. Hah!

Background: I used the nickname Leia during all my university years. Well to be precise, right after I saw the StarWars trilogy. It was in the first or second year I think. Oh because I, unlike normal geeks my age (somebody bring me a wheelchair), didnt get to see those movies until I was like, 18 or 19.

So anyway, later on I was one of the weirdos waiting for hours at midnight to watch the first screening, and may I say I was always sooo excited? Since the familiar music and the flying yellow letters started in the screen... Wooo I can´t describe it. I´m gonna cry... Snif... Okay Okay...

It was all very different in the last one, I did not went to the midnight release, but wait for a few days, and actually watched it with one of my brothers. It was so disgusting, he kept answering the cell (GRRR!). I better had gone alone... But anyway. Later on I went again (oh yes, again) with my little cousins, and it was a blast, even with all the explaining I had to do. :D

So, that´s about it. I have never felt the same excitment at the start of a movie, while being all comfortably seated at the theater, with the exception of HHGG.

Ohhhh. HHGG.

Fasten your Seatbelts

*Good afternoon Ladies, and Gentleman, Aeroneonightmare is very proud for you to fly with us today. Please make yourself comfortable, and remember, this is a non-smoke flight, if you´re smoking, we´ll threw you thru the emergency exit, but before that the crew will have some fun with you during the chainsaw break, because you know, serving crappy meals in little plates at this heights, plus, having to use high heels and smile all the time can be a little stressful, so, there you go, fasten your seatbelts*

*this is the captain speaking, btw, it looks like we will be experiencing some bad weather*

Well we don´t know were this little playskool plane will take us, do we, all we know is that our heart is hurting pretty bad and we don´t know what to do now to breathe by night. Closing the eyes very strong and crawling while hugging two pillows and staying very quiet doesnt work. The tears are not infrequent. Even when we drawn ourselves into work. We love it, don´t we? But is not enough to take our mind apart of those eyes. Those haunting, fascinating, magical, spelling eyes. What to do? Look thru the window. Clouds. It´s cold isn´t? Get a blanket. Drink a hot tea. You´ll still be cold. Face it, that´s how it is, and those eyes are miles away from you, even though you have felt sometimes like they are at the reach of your hand. Even thought it seems you´re chained to the heart living in those eyes. But what are you complaining of? We still have plenty of sky and fuel. We are not arriving anywhere yet. What is your hurry? Why are you suffering this much? A little loud, I can´t hear you. Oh! Is that so! C´mon, don´t come to me with that. You fear? let me tell you something, kiddo, everybody does. Everybody fears. You feel alone? Big deal. You know what? You should be grateful that you have those beautiful eyes to miss. Those haunting eyes to be heart broken for. Those hands that are a miracle to fell on your knees for. Those lips that are like a spell. Yes, I know, the moon is beautiful in october, and you have the wine of your body ready to share it, but it´s not the time yet. We dont even know if it will ever be the time. So sit back and dream. Why do you always portrait yourself as a lonely girl in a swing, with no one else to play? While always over the branch of a tree, with nothing but a book for company? It is your fault if you´re always alone, and it is your fault if you can´t stand anyone thoughts. You´re making your own isolation aisle, and there is no one else to blame for it but you.rself. Shut up now. Cry now. Nobody cares. Because you dont care yourself. Yes. You love those eyes. Yes. You feel like you´re gonna die if you dont see them reflecting yours soon. Well die! Die now! Stop complaining. Learn to be. Learn to wait. You better learn to conjugate pacience. You can miss and love and wish and hope and long all you want, but that wont take you where you want, that if you even know where you want to go. Assuming that you do, wich, i must say, is improbable. The playskool plane will take you to whatever he pleases, and there is very little you can do about it. Yeah. It hurts. Get over it.

Saturday comic o´mine

Cute, and it made me smile at the 8th one.

chiste viejo

Sinfest

Today´s Sinfest comic looks too much like my fridge.

Worst is I can cook reasonably acceptable stuff when I try. Wich is not often. Almost never. Okay only once a year.

I´ll blame my friend Hugo. When I cooked tortellini and a weird but strangely good dessert for him and a couple of friends, the average sentence was "Gee You´re ready to marry now!"

Gasp.,

Since that evil comment, I never spend more than 5 minutes near to that thing in my kitchen. I think they call it stove. And the fridge is always empty. There is nothing eatable in my house. Mwahahaha...

Mr. Brightside...

I´m working on this. Any thoughts?

So far, I´m a bit confused with the technology, mainly because I have been reading various articles about it and some of them seem to contradict themselves.

How the heck do I translate "backlight" in good spanish???

The other thing I´m working on is mod chips. $300 pesos for the mod (Xboxzone chip?) and four games, all of them on the hdd, plus the hability to play every single "administrative backup", CD´s , DVD´s etc. The Xbox may also make coffee after the mod. That´s what the guy said. I´m gonna see him tonight. Oh and, no need to open the console, he´ll just install everything from a CD plus a conection with his PC. Hum. I hope everything goes well as it is for test purposes only.

Rol Model & Stuff

So, I stayed at G´s yesterday after work, I was feeling really weak and tired, and fell asleep almost all of the afternoon. Later on my little cousin Azahel asked me to help him to study for his exam on "Health".

He is in a bilingual schooll and thinks I´m good enough on english to help him out, so anyway, I was asking him for things like stress (kid, I know a thing or two about stress), self control (this I don´t know much of, specially lately), etc and when I asked for "rol model", he said the answer, and then said: "like you". Aw! Little bastard. That´s perhaps the best complement I have heard lately. Well, he is always really mean, so I´m sure he is into something I have not figured out yet

OT I´m just back from the presentation of a book called "the economy of knowledge" edited by the ITESM and written by some guys (how disrespectful!). Some interesting numbers there, nothing that we don´t know, thought. And now I´m on my way to a conference with Saul Rojo (the guy from CT) to the ITH.

So, just the usual stuff here. Trying to have a little fun, being depressive/bitter and trying hard to believe all of this is worth for something. With little success.

Still sick, btw.

New and cool

Yahoo Podcasts

Currently listening HotSpot, the podcast of GameSpot. They´re talking about the Gizmondo. Excitement levels around the device, not really big. Duh? We already have the Nintendo DS and the PSP.

Also, next gen DVD´s. Blu-Ray vs HD DVD. Of course, PS3 is going with Blu-Ray and the chicken, I mean, Microsoft, is gong with regular DVD´s.

Halo stuff on phones. Right... Who cares.

The launch of the Xbox 360 approaching, just before the thanksgiving craze. The same day, Final Fantasy XII demo out.

In the background, Adult Swim Mix. (Deven Miles)

¿y a burocracia? F´n vogons... ¿Y a pendejez? O francotiradora y asesina-a-sueldo.

¿no se puede las tres? I wanna be a heartless bitch. ¿Why anybody makes a song with that title???

I bet it would make a hit.

The Lord of Time is back...

With a new book, "A briefer History of Time".

I ask: "If you could go back in time, who would you rather meet, Marilyn Monroe or Isaac Newton?" and after 10 minutes he says in that voice that makes the blandest statement sound profound: "Marilyn. Newton seems to have been an unpleasant character."

The Guardian.

Big news...

RELIGIOUS belief can cause damage to a society, contributing towards high murder rates, abortion, sexual promiscuity and suicide, according to research published today.

According to the study, belief in and worship of God are not only unnecessary for a healthy society but may actually contribute to social problems.

I´ll never drink whisky again

¿But what will I do with that Johny Walker? Goddamit. All the blood vessels of my head hurt. Or at least feel like. It is too hot. My head hurts. I´m hungry and thirsty. It is 8:00 am sunday morning.

First thought to mind? I need a frapuccino. No, I need water. Erm. Maybe something spicy, like, really really spiciy... Oh. Un limón real con chiltepines... Meh... nah. Todavía no es tiempo de limones reales. Tacos de cabeza. Si. Awww. Todo me da vueltas. Maldita sea que sed. Me duele el cuello. ¿tal vez una coca cola? Dos tylenol. Más agua. Aghm. Goddamit.

I´ll never drink whisky again.

I swear.

And today´s obsession is...

Seahorses.

I mean,

Part of what makes seahorses fascinating is that the males give birth. In what other species do the males take on an important role in caring for their young?

They are so cute. I think men should at least breast feed or something. What!? :*)

Not long ago, I saw a colored variety on the movie Life Aquatic (I want the soundtrack. And why Owen Wilson always look so stupid?). I wonder if it exists for real. the fish, not Owen Wilson.

Here some images I found.

It is amazing.

What´re you saying? That I should get a life? Well what are you doing reading this? Go away! hahaha

I feel proud today of one thing. I called my mother and she was....READING! Oh yeah, she was totally reading one of the last two books I gave her. I WIN! Ok I know it was Girl with the Pearl Earring (you know, the story of the Vermeer´s painting, at least according with Tracy Chevalier...a novel). So much for a victory...but she is reading something other than the church books! Yeeeehhi! the recepcionist, my mom. Two down, one million to go. The only thing that worry me is that I need to find the next book that can possibly keep them reading. Ummm.

What else? Oh yes, I spent so much time reading the threads and forums of the new Nintendo Revolution controller than now I want to try one (dear Nintendo press people...) and...OHHHH Howl´s Moving Castle is awesome. Awesome!!! Miyazaki is a genious. I wonder how many things have I missed by having only watched three of his movies. Visually amazing. The story, quite entertaining and interesting. Fantastic. Even funny. The music, beautiful.

Oh well. I guess those are too much obsessions for a day, and I didnt even talked about the main one. >;*)

Tokyo's Sky City (Interactive Walkthrough)

"Some Japanese architects want to change our approach to urban crowding. They think we can live in the sky, and they hope to build a vertical city twice the height of today's tallest skyscraper that would house, employ and entertain hundreds of people."

What are you thoughts on the possibility of this? Would you live in it?

No importa. Y vuelvo a ver aquí. A mis pies. Ante mis ojos. Una por una. Muchas piedras que quitar...

Ya era hora.

1378: Papal Schism: Unhappy with Pope Urban VI, a group of cardinals elected a rival papacy in Antipope Clement VII, throwing the Roman Catholic Church into a turmoil.
1854: The Crimean War began with a Franco-British victory over Russian forces in the Battle of Alma (pictured).

Don´t Panic

I never thought I would find the DVD at Blockbuster. Was looking for something nice enough to show to my cousins. So. Whoa! I grabbed it instantly, and they loved it. I´m afroid I have created a monster. My little cousin Azahel kept singing "So long so long so long..." until quite late, and of course kept asking during all the movie what the deal was with the towels. They haven´t read the books yet. Oh, that was mostly enjoyable. I´ve got to get it for my small (but growing) personal collection. >:*D

Heh. That was fun.

And now for something completly different...

I was going straight to home. Stupid independence celebrations. right? Couldnt care less about them. But then a call. Wanna go to the circus? No. Cool! We´re picking you in 5 mins! but... Wait! So here I go to the circus. By the time we got there, there were no more tickets, and no second show. So what are we doing now? Next scene, I´m buying an ice coffee on the movie theater. Cursing life and with a ticket of the Grimm brothers or the brothers Grimm or whatever in my pocket. I actually enjoyed the movie a bit, even with Mat Daemon on it. You now. Mat Daemon. Demmon. Who cares. I was pretty sure it would suck. But it actually kept me mostly entertained. Later I realized the director actually was Terry Gillian. Oh. Talking about having school. SO, Ice coffee, pop corn and an acceptable movie. (Bellucci as a cursed queen bonus included)... I have no idea how much ($) as it is nearly three in the morning and my brain is working worse than the normal malfunction. But, not having to be on a crowded plaza hearing the same stupidities, priceless. Oh well. I should be f+n sleeping.

Goofs: Anachronisms: Brahms' Lullaby is sung and hummed throughout the movie by the Woodsman. But the movie takes place around 1812 and Brahms was born in 1833. (IMDB)

Oh and I read "Muertos sin sepultura", by J. P. Sartre. I left started "El diablo y Dios". I´ll report. He´s one of my favorite authors. If people asked with what writer you would rather sleep with instead of the dumb "What famous person would you like to meet?" I´d say Sartre. Or Hesse. No... Sartre. And Beauvoir. A threesome. Ow. Now I see why people do not ask that kind of questions.

I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today

No rain has to be one of my favorite songs of all times.

***

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain

I like watchin' the puddles gather rain

And all I can do is just pour some tea for two

and speak my point of view

But it's not sane, It's not sane

I just want some one to say to me

I'll always be there when you wake

Ya know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today

So stay with me and I'll have it made

And I don't understand why I sleep all day

And I start to complain that there's no rain

And all I can do is read a book to stay awake

And it rips my life away, but it's a great escape

escape......escape......escape......

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain

ya don't like my point of view

ya think I'm insane

Its not sane......it's not sane

***

It is 22:07. I´m still on the newspaper. I´m starving. And I´m ok.
I realized today that if I call a person, they always think something is wrong, or I need something, or the sky may be falling. I don´t need anything. I´m ok. I just wanted to make sure you were ok. I´m pretty sure I´m the worst friend in the world, that doesnt mean I do not think of you probably several times a day. Not just because I never call. I have others ways to call. I´m always there, and the few for who I´m always there, know it. I´m always there, but I´m also in the moon. And do not know very well the earthy communication standard human methods.

The brotherhood of war.

I left reviews to Mr. Karreau... All I´ll say is that it is bloody, it reminded me of Saving Private Ryan, Medal of Honor and just how stupid war is.

Not that I needed any of those.

I hate it when the drama music is too obviously manipulative. Like people, now is when you´re suposed to feel sorry for them. If you´re gonna cry, now is the f´n time... And in this filme, it is. Oh well... I suppose it has its strenghts, only it was late and I was terribly tired.

War is terrible. I really didnt needed to watch another war film.

Like if the news werent enough...

Anyway.

Weird Days (cellphone-o-less)

A ver... ¿estoy tomando drogas? Algo ligero. Y a ver, qué me podría dormir...

¿Qué no?

(men, I miss my APEX!) And just to digg a little bit more (I am a pain in the ASC..II), did you guys saw how much will it cost to Sony the Blu-Ray on the PS3? I, for one, am betting on the Xbox 360 for my future winter lonely nights of dork entertainment.

Birthday Girl

Nah. I prefer chocolate cake. But I did liked my pink plastic phone to the right. I was three? Four? Anyway. I´m officialy 30 now. Still deep down (actually, not so deep down haha) I still am this little girl. In many ways, I have preserved the spirit. That has to count, right?

BTW I was really testing the cake mom made for me. I gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars. ;*)

Thank you for the best whishes to whoever read this. C´mon, I know you do. (You better do!!!)

I would like to think the best is to come yet. ;*) Here is to that. If not, I´ll still celebrate wth a bottle of vodka. I just hope I dont end up drunk singing old mexican songs.

Well. That´s it. They are playing "Las mañanitas " now... Stop it.

Gonna make me cry, goddamit.

:P

Forecast (Rain. No matter what)

Well, first of all, some background: Tomorrow is my birthday. Normally, that´s enough to put me on a bad, cranky mood. Now. I seem to have a hormonal revolution. That is, on top of the normal chronic depresion, insomnia, mental disorders and the like. I know. Sh*t.

The thing is I dreamed I was killing myself. Not really killing. I was more like, opening my entrains with a knife. I suposse I wanted to put out my organs, like if they were lego or a puzzle, and then put them back and sewing my belly with a needle.... BUT... I didn´t had any entrains. I had... cherries. I know. Blood and cherries. Also, plums. Yeah. Plums. Bloody ones. I kept putting them out, and it seemed to be a tree. I mean, I wasn´t. It was like a vision of branches and everything. Even flowers and blossoming. But wasnt it strange that the fruits were inside????

Anyway. This day is a rollercoast so far. I have been angry, sad, and I have cried before 2:00 pm. That cannot be good. Wasn´t I supposed to get some joy (excuse me, I meant, "exaltation episodes") too? SOOOO? Where are them?!

F´n head chemicals of hell.

Solve et coagule.

Huxley, Hesse and The Cybernetic Society.

Fantastic essay.

Vintage Mexico

There is something about this ads/posters that I find fascinating.

I remember when I was like ... maybe 9? We used to go to a ranch, property of an uncle, and there was this little house there -where the people who took care of the ranch lived... really simple people-, it was so old. And you could still see adds like these. And oooold calendars. Actually, in some stores on the road to the little town where my parents live, it is possible to see this "vintage" adds, specially of cigarettes and drinks (coke etc)...

whew. I can almost smell the places...

People will think you´re ordering books!

New subcategory on Amazon.

>;*)

No it´s not a joke! :P

Réquiem for a PowerShot [RIP]

Ahora sí se murió mi cámara digital.

>:*(

Reasons Geeks Can't Sleep

11. Not because of caffeine. Just can't stop thinking about coffee.
10. Converting MP3 collection to OGG taking longer than you thought.
9. Dorito crumbs on sheets cause unbearable itching.
8. Borg costume needed redesigning because it just wasn't realistic enough.
7. Had to keep checking the torrent to make sure it was still downloading.
6. Too scared to sleep after watching "Hackers" and knowing they can make more movies like it.
5. MMORPG withdrawal causing uncontrolable shaking.
4. Removed your bed to make room for the server rack.
3. Years of living underground have made your eyelids translucent.
2. Watched special edition of Star Wars and still pissed off over Greedo shooting first.
1. Had to sell bed to buy new graphics card.

Meh.

Favorite scene. Ever. Chapter 7...

“Really, now you ask me,” said Alice, very much confused, “I don’t think—”
“Then you shouldn’t talk,” said the Hatter.

Pentagrama (crepuscular)

Google Talk!

It was true!YAY! My first Google talk will pass to history as a complaining that I can´t change my nick. Does anybody know yet how to do that?

Thanks, FD! And... Kajun, for the invites ;*)

I saw the servers working functional yesterday, it was possible to use them with any Jabber compliant client, like GAIM. Lots of people were using it since the related post at digg :*9

Good bye MSN :P

Intel Developer Forum SF 05

It´s all happening here.

What is weird is that now Apple users must keep an eye on this roadmap...

o.o

Otellini talks too much and says to little. But from what I get next generation will be more on the side of the architecture of the Pentium M, wich BTW, was developed on Israel. As in, more performance per Watt is the king now. So, forget Ghz. Oh... Who does he remind me??? Oh yes, Steve Jobs on his kenote at MacWorld. So cute. They are kinda holding hands, using the same marketing buzz words...

Meh.

Webcast here (but it is not available yet)

Google Desktop 2.0

I know. A bit late. But I had orders to "rest" (ew) so now I´m about to YES! install Google Desktop 2.0 in my PC.

Like a good girl, I first read the Google Blog post about it to know what do the team has to say.

Pretty much nothing. So now I hurry up to DL site.

Uh. Oh. MSN Search Desktop is SO going down...

Books (¿espejismo?)

(en serio, it sucks, and it gets worst, please stop now).

No me quejo.

No me contesten.

12 years old

I was going to post about the 12 year old guy who killed himself in his room because he was afroid of the punishment his parents would give him after he crashed the car.

But I thought, the hell with it.

There is no way to think about this in an euphemistic way. It makes me angry. It rushes blood to my head. And, at the same time, I want to push it away of my mind. I want to get rid of it. I know, but I dont want to.

It is almost like I can´t deal with it, with these, things. o.o

Why do they fucking index that into the technology news?

I know. Is weird. It is like the world hurts me. I can´t stand it. I already know all of that is happening. And it hurts everyday. To read about it, it is like adding more sand to my grave already too filled.

what can I do about it. what can anybody do.

Graphic Novel + Shared Autorship

The concept is interesting. Take a look here.

Vía if:book, who has an excellent post on OCW, btw.

Done updating

From now on, I´ll be the one to yell at if that site is not updated (self assignment, as I´m tired to hear people complaining). One thing that I mostly hate (update, not the complaining, that is actually beyond hate... hate is not enough word to describe it), but anyway.

¿On what basis should I update it, I ask? Twice a day? As of I have the information? (too freaky) Besides, the system is sooo slow... What would be a good framework to do this, really? Update, say, at 8 am and then at 3 pm? Any suggestions? No? WELL it is not like I am going to do it as you say anyway...

Talking about ADD, I´m now into Wikimania. I think wikis are great. Have you guys read the Wikiquote site? No? Well here is a good place to start.

Back to my own private desk-hell.

Happy Hardcore! Oh, yeah...

FDX

Además me da alergia :*)

FD, leo tu columna todas las semanas mwahahaha!!

Where is Coffeeanica????

So... I´m Talya, and I´m a stinking coffee addict. It has been only a couple of days since I quitted, and my head is absolutely killing me, like never before, and trust me, it has been really HARD before.

My back neck is killing me, the tension is built in my muscles and I feel like I´m going to explode. I´m super thirsty and I can´t sleep at all. This is really weird. My mouth is dry...

Plus, I´m drowsy all the time, and unable to concentrate. See I pass the coffee machine now, and stop only to fill my arrowhead bottle with more water. eww. water. so... my life sucks, and I can´t have coffee anymore.

Sh*t.

God Bless the IRC

Mark Haddon's bitterly funny debut novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, is a murder mystery of sorts--one told by an autistic version of Adrian Mole. Fifteen-year-old Christopher John Francis Boone is mathematically gifted and socially hopeless, raised in a working-class home by parents who can barely cope with their child's quirks. He takes everything that he sees (or is told) at face value, and is unable to sort out the strange behavior of his elders and peers.

I never thought I´d say this, but...

I finally DL "The curious incident of the dog at midnight" at Undernet #bookz. It is sweet. I have the rar now.

Of course I wish I had the papercopy instead, but, I haven´t seen it here have you??????

Yeah! From the wish list to my little yellow carpets ;*) Here is to guilty pleasures.
